I live within myself

My fingers are numb and cold.
“This is crazy”
I say that everyday.
I don’t change anything.
Normal never did suit me.
And crazy always seemed to fit too well.

So, my friends talk their chatter
And I give my part
And we contribute to what we call art.

My writings cease and start without my consent,
but when really did we ever have a say?
And these stories that seem to write themselves,
we find them molding around us like clay.
“Life is Art”
is what they say.

My life, as art, is no Monet.
And I say
“That’s completely ok”.
Monet never did suit me well.

And I have the truth to tell.

Rubbing my hands together.
Friction builds warmth.
Strange, isn’t it?

Crazy and strange
And you see it all in my smile.
Everyone lies when they smile.

Cold chills down my spine.
“This is crazy”
and it’s cold again today.
But if you stay,
Maybe I’ll paint a picture.

But, probably not.
