Note: This poem is dedicated to Raph, Gem, Wind, and Mike. I miss you all! The sky has gone mad, with clouds enraged, the sun speaks to my skin, what do I feel ..all that I've erased from my memory, all that's been forgotten, the heartbeat lacks in existence. I've been saving the smoke we shared in my lungs, the burning reminder of why I can't exhale. These tears I am grateful, to shed for you, the liquid sky cruising down my cheek...If you could only see me now..naming the gods.. ..and if I could recall the first words I'd spoken, I'd wish I could've changed them. If it were known that there would be no tomorrow, surely, I'd regret everything I shouldn't have said. I take back nothing, keep my heart, let me cup my mortality in my hands.. |
