With a warm violin in my heart I shall take leave,
To pay tribute before the towering testament of my souls receipt;
Take heed my deliverance before a warm summer’s creed,
Carry my inward destiny to the conclusion of a battles conceit.

Draw thy tine swords and stand thy shields,
Trust thy mortality to tomorrow’s lair,
For thy truth shall be forever faired upon the pasture fields,
And thy existence delivered to the heart of thy widow’s care.

Beacon thy cause and applaud thy right,
Feed thy hungry fury with thy soul’s fervor.
Stay true to thy wills quest to fight,
And never befall to that of a master’s server.

Let thy chariots speak as thy heeding voice,
Ride amongst the winds of thunder to deliver thy spike.
Live in thy humanity with solitude and rejoice,
And learn to love with passion before the ever endearing night.

Once again...you magically deliver such a finely-penned piece of art.  Thank you.

Nice pic, too!

RWV:

This write is particularly sparking...
For I know the wonder of the wind and the chariot...and as I read it each time, I felt the beating hoofs through the earth and racing heart that prevails on the journey. This last line was the sum of perfect.
Well done.

Ravenwolfvoyager,
Do you happen to have a shorter name?   I have a feeling that I'll have to post to it fairly often.  There is such rhythm and flow as well as the great imagery...

A poet, a prophet, or a magician -- perhaps all three you are.  I am very much touched by your writing!  ........jo

Jeff, this is so beautiful!! I especially like
these last two lines.....probably the hopeless
romantic in me?

By the way, I like the picture, too.

I'm enjoying the sound of this, and especially the magical ring of Kismet.  You encourage critiques - one small nit - spelling!   [Tine / thine]

Enjoyed!

Jeff~
So privileged was I to have had the opportunity to preview this ... EXCELLENT penning, poet~

'Draw thy tine swords and stand thy shields,
Trust thy mortality to tomorrow’s lair,
For thy truth shall be forever faired upon the pasture fields,
And thy existence delivered to the heart of thy widow’s care'

Especially like the mention of the 'double edged swords' ... creatively unique word workage (yeah, sometimes I make 'em up) in this entire piece~

Your versatility is outstanding my friend~
Nice to 'see' you too~
