Skirts blowing in the wind she moved Grass gripping her feet as an old lover Wind rippling her hair Sun dancing her bones As a friend beating a gentle rhythm Through her body To her feet Echoes of soft breezes Witnessed Her move To abandon freedom Smiling At the thought of the sacrifice Her heart dreamed of Helta-skelter for the shelter Fun and laughter for the rain Dripping through the singing river Splashing words To one again |
