My return piece |

My return to PiP stems from a reason other than what I would have hoped, but none-the-less I am back. My tenure here was fairly short but I hope to stick around for a while this time. This piece was written for the mother of a dear friend of mine. My pal Danny passed away on December the 4th in a car accident. He and his brother Brett were both killed in the accident and their mother, Janice, asked if I would write a piece for their funeral bulletin and I would like to share it with you all. Passing Rapid silence; flooding emotions, Brief darkness preludes the Immaculate Light. Divine arms extended through misty eyes, Commanding hands ease open His blissful Gates. Voyaging over Heaven’s wistful threshold, Once morose hearts unsheathe their guiltless splendor. Angels sing tranquil songs of exaltation, “Our beloved kin has ventured home!” Striding gingerly onward; Awestricken by the perfection of His holy realm. Attention seized: brilliant lights shine from His very essence. Eyes; tributaries of elegance and love… enveloped by His eternal Grace. Voices of hearts resound throughout my soul, Longing a return to the world that was. Teasing smile across His face, Assurance that calm will come through Him. How shall they know? …in subtle tone; By dawn’s sweet breath: Speckled white with the breaking of day, Pledged to reunite a maternal soul with child. Time spent, years in length upon that ground; Lifetimes mistakenly lived as death ended all. Mortal times: nearly shrouds of existence, For only now is eternity found. Peace be with you all. Psalms 20:7 "Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God." |

Welcome back and I wanted to tell you that they certainly had a wonderful friend in you for creating such a wonderful piece for them and their mother. Beautifully written, and extremely emotional piece. |

Nick, I'm very sorry for your loss. I am happy to see though that you've taken something that is tragic, and made it into something beautiful, such as what you've done with this. beautiful words, and I'm sure it helped to heal Danny's mother and many others. Take care, Amy "When life gives you sorrow, may you experience the spirit of laughter" |
