When I look at me I see a light inside of me I see a past,a present, and future happiness as far as I can see I see strength, and weakness. I see humble and brokeness. I see an innocent young child inspiring to be just. An aspiring friend shining brightly among the stars, dimmed only by a tad of disappointment. I see today a heart full time a friend to all, even in pain love taken to the fullest innosense stripped away like dirty laundry not yet washed I see a child's image left at the brink of my eyes. Young, an adult but not quiete OLD. when I look at me I see a very bright future ahead of me. awake in the shadows, pain will not dwindle. In the play of light and shadows ... you see the brightness of the future and this is very important .... and pain WILL dwindle! Good job! Love, Margherita |

they say that self knowledge is wisdom. I related to much of this poem, because I have expressed similar sentiment in my own work. The only thing is the use of the word "sad" - we all describe ourselves in that way, don't we? It's overused in poetry, I think, and it's such a simple word anyway. |
