(Author's note: A creek is is pronounced "crick" to my way of thinking.)

Today

When lengthy days stretch out ahead,
the kind you want to stay in bed,
or sit about and message friends,
or ponder what your life portends,
you need to get the chores done quick,
or else you'll soon be up the creek.

When such days appear to you,
I hope you don't begin them blue.
Today's the day; it's all we have,
So use it for a mental salve.
You'll find that when the day is gone,
Your life is full, so stop that frown.

*Smiling here*
You rhyme so well..I am envious!
How very much I enjoyed your pearls of wisdom this snowy morn Ken.
Excellent write..with plenty to ponder!

Ne'er one to be short of word
the deepest message always heard
the hi! and bye! of quick compose
assimilates a lovely rose.

Don't know why, but your words conjured up mine own.  Always good to see your poetry, kayjay!

Live is for living and we must live it well by embracing the day without anticipating the night! (sigh) God Bless You, sweet friend, your poetry is a joy to behold, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Ken, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
