A lily of the field she grew
dressed in morning's misty dew
stretching stem to greet the sun
drinking from the Earth's sweet loam.

Now blossomed white with yellow hue
fluted crown all fresh and new
growing under angel wings.
Swaying winds around her sing.
     The lily, she Weobaei.

Weobaei wonders not the day
or worries all her ways away.
Manaeshte blessed her so to stay
perhaps a month, perhaps a day.

She breaths in life
and breaths out beauty,
not thinking that to be her duty
assigned by Manaeshte's rule.

Omahpaista flutter near
spreading her pollen here and there
for more the joy to others flow.
And this is how Weobaei grows,
    glorifying her creator.

Iliana

I've really enjoyed this Weobaei series, and the variety of imagery you given us.

MNS, thanks for reading during this time that I know must be very busy for you.  You, dear one, are the lily, just as you (and all humanbeings) are the horse, and all the other things that Weobaei is -- my final Weobaei poem (which is written but I think there are a few more to come in between) will relate everything, I hope.

Ravenwolfvoyager -- whew, wow, I'm glad you like it.  I'm rather in awe of your work.  I have three more written -- they'll go up before long -- that may be the end of this series, not sure yet.  But thanks for reading them, it means a lot!

Saunni (or is it Sauni?? -- saw both spellings), your message was so sweet.  Thanks for taking time to stop by (have you read the first four in this series yet -- just curious).

What flavor....I just love these poems, and I have a feeling that there is the makings of a book in them. They are so tasty!

RL -- thanks so much.  Perhaps, a small book of verse, we'll see.  That's great encouragement you've given.  Hope all's well.
