Expectation beneath the snow lies an ache for spring life’s imaginings await just beyond the fog of winter; a tiny splinter of hope sings of things to come tiny bulbs whisper to each other; worms prepare to stretch and yawn slumber’s awakening yet Jack and Snow cling, hug the eaves, adorn the sleeves of passers-by on foot or fly and I? huddle here, within the warmth behind the door, and watch the more for signs to place a sparkle, a twinkle, of delight in my eyes, that sun’s arise will find its way ©January 11, 2004 Whether on the shoal or on the shore, |

In me, lies an ache for spring, and you just fed my fever! Words so descriptive, I could smell the garden soil. ~McLean |
