Lost in the essence of you. Winding my way through your mind Past the shiny radiance of your soul And into that gentlest of places… Your heart. Finding myself in your love. Seeing in me what I see in you Holding the mirror just right So the reflections always catch The light. Discovering you in my thoughts. Identifying each little piece As if there might be a way To lose any part of you in My life. Cherishing the miracle of us. Feeling the heart beat faster And the stomach get tighter At the mere utterance of, “I’m here.” Knowing that our time together In this realm and in this time With these paltry little skins is Nothing more than our introduction To eternity. This I know as Truth...we are all Beings of Light. |
