Orange

do you see me
I am there
the lone boat
in row paddling
ever so steadily
into you
and there you are
orange
the point of
the spell
when day ends
bringing forth
the easy birth
of night
the magic time
of fire
finger painting
all you touch
in the glow
of warmth
orange is a
feather soft
rendering caress
with it’s perfect cover
and with each
stir of water
breaking surface
I pull closer
as you
blanket my world
now hue my skin
flow through pores
tint my soul
with this pigment
so I too become
orange

I confess, you had me at "hello"--the pic is stunning, but your vision in the vision is goosebump-worthy.

This is scathingly lovely Helen.

(my number is the same too, should you need a listening ear, I'm here. If you need a shoulder, I'd love to return the favor--you've been a kind soul to me. Be well soon. )

I read this minutes after you posted it, but of course I would wait a while to comment, wouldn't I?....this is everything a poem should be, and more.

Wow... I got them too reading this, this is beautiful, I read this again and again, such a warm feeling it gives you just reading it.  Wonderful!

Strive for higher levels, if they seem out of reach... Grow, and they will get closer.

(smiles) Yay! (does happy orange dance) Orange is one of the happiest colors to me, as both oranges and tangerines taste sweet and they are orange, happy color, yay, God Bless You, this is so romantic, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Helen, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!
