I am a big bad hairy wolf
Ebaying at the full moon
I’ll be in bankruptcy if
I don’t stop this surfing soon!

Shopping is not a favored thing
I’ve always hated it with a passion
But on this site, the Ebay has
Are homes and motors and fashion!

I must confess it is a delight
To sit here in my jammies
Buying fabric or mystery novels
Or delicious Carolina Hammies

I don’t like to do the auctions
My patience isn’t that strong
When I see something I want?
I want it now! Is that wrong?

I’ve told a few friends about this
And they’ve branded me a fool
Do you think it’s on account of
Buying 50 yards of tulle?

Lately I’ve found a new ‘rush’
When I see packages at my door
I find a ‘Rifleman’ lunch box and
A Barbie doll I adore!

A 12-step program just won’t do
There must be one with more
I’ve got a hunch I can find one
Right here at my Ebay store!

Wonderfully witty piece, PdV! Although I think the speaker has less a fascination with EBay than they do with the postal carrier...

ROFL!  This is a charmer Sharon.  LOLOL
A lady at work was truly addicted at buying blankets on E-bay. She's got a room *the walls* covered in them.

Speaking of addiction?  This reminds me of a conversation we had in this place a long time ago. LOL do you remember?

Clever & quite cute. Now, write the opposite - from the vantage of the person who has to visit every garage sale and antique shop in his/her community and surrounding counties in order to PUT items on Ebay...and his/her devious chuckling over knowing what s/he got for 25 cents is going to the highest bidder....

I knew when I saw the title this was going to be another Ms deVine treasure.  Well done, Sharon.  I love it.

Karilea - What a neat inspiration you've imparted to us!  I can see the thread now.
