Reason told a secret to them Surprises surrounded all Wonder breathed a sigh Ignorance watched in awe Waves of doubt and fear Raging stories no one wanted to hear In space of time they entered the temple To hear and see all they were in fear of To settle and say the way of the mind Searching they looked eager to find To find and to hold and if that was too bold They would cry and run to find the sun Sun’s surround they sought to find To delve into the world of kind To see to say to ask to tell No wonder lost to this marvelous spell They say the art of life is in knowing Knowing the ways and means of life Life sings its needs to all around Around us all in time songs abound Abound in ways we watch and marvel Marvel because we do not know Know the ways and means of life Life is where we venture with care Care because we often do not dare Dare to learn the ways and means Means by which we could know more More words I would prevail to write Write tonight to say some more More is where I was just writing Writing I will do no more – tonight… |
