Starless air weeps for
The world’s voice grown hoarse
In an unreal city
Perennial dry stones hold less water
The harlot haunts the corpse
What is there, is not
The bewildered lie grieving
Outstretched arms plough rough fields
My invisible companion waits in the grove
I could not see anyone
The air hissed while escaping
Pulling me out of silence
The nucleus brings definitive compensation
Engendered interpretations
Testify to the wealth of range
Where the Rose becomes a second language
People needing people
In rooted and tangled
How admirable to give hospitality
Unto an expanding scope
Unlike mine, yet genuine and kind
Earning reflections unlike articles
Where essays lay in the dead seas
Like old sunken boats
Ornate poetics become rare creatures
Clinging to decaying rust, like barnacles
And the laws of nature
With unquestionable attention to energy
Passed downward from the future
Life lends our hues
Self taught by forces
Ambitious and sometimes bruised
Yet some fair light our bounty be
Bending horns to trumpet thee
I stand fixed and wing-footed
Fearing no more or less
Balding friends forsake me
Yet, I am daughtered, by this earth
As any of the Godesses be
Humble in celestial plains
Wherein sweet waters we bath
Finding sparks of immortal fire
Where nature’s port of goodly eyes
Continually inspire

Lee~
The title spoke not to the beauty within this penning~

'Where essays lay in the dead seas
Like old sunken boats
Ornate poetics become rare creatures
Clinging to decaying rust, like barnacles
And the laws of nature
With unquestionable attention to energy
Passed downward from the future'

AND THIS -

'Yet, I am daughtered, by this earth'

WORTH the entire read ... savoured~
