My back was against the wall
You saw me and just walked away
     Never heard my call
When I cried out your name

You said I was the one
that had to reap what you have sowed

     These dreams of you
     never came true

You slapped me across the face
I just turned the other cheek

Keeping my back against the wall

Terrific writing.  There are many who will see themselves against your wall.

Suspension of breath ... through this well penned pain.
