A SPECK OF LOVE A pebble on the ground isn’t worth much I have found or an ant I cannot see when with purpose I step out and of love I cannot say it fills the bank with gold or dresses me in clothes meant to turn your head around. How much a grain, a speck of love, upon the scale of life when dipped to the right by burdens of the world and tipped to the left by ego’s many ways tied around and glued to the forefront of our minds? It’s better not to think but rather just to know no scale can weigh the weight of what I cannot see or measure the circumference of how I feel inside when in the night I disappear into the world of soul. I bring it back with me as my most treasured gift and place it here and there until I’m satisfied I’ve found a shelf strong enough to know the inner me and tall enough to always give me a happy lift. And on the shelf it sits and looks toward the door a memento and reminder no one is conscious of and I mourn the human brain unaware, unconcerned, so many times to send it crashing to the floor. In those times I kneel almost prayer like just for you so on the shelf of my intent I can see again love’s face but this time out the window it looks toward the sky firm and steady, confident, in its future view. Tomorrow, next week, who can say how long to know the world of soul has knocked … and you opened up the door! |

Hi, Midnitesun. Thanks for reading and I'm glad you enjoyed it. I hope the "depths" didn't leave you floundering like I do sometimes. |

How much a grain, a speck of love, upon the scale of life when dipped to the right by burdens of the world and tipped to the left by ego’s many ways tied around and glued to the forefront of our minds? A wonder with words you are, dear Helen. I especilly liked that verse, and those things we place high on a shelf for safe keeping. Your Sunday stories are like a choir in my mind. Thank you so much for your inspire and insigtful poetry. *Hug* |

Hi, Bluesy! It means a lot to me that you always do read and find something to take away with you. Thanks. Dear Martie, We just have to hang in there, you know. If my words have helped, I'm so very glad. Hello Paul, I am sorry about the "so much to read" but I am pleased that you found something to ponder therein. Thank you. |
