i've got a hero
who burns my soul
with cigarrettes
i've got a hero
who smiles at me
with disjointed aspirations
i've got a hero
who presses my buttons
with eyes that never close
i've got a hero
who believes in me
with jelly strong knees
i've got a hero
who holds me
with broken hands
i've got a hero
who knows they are
with untainted brilliance

joy has its own justice. and dreams are languid and lawless. and everything bows to beauty, when it's fierce and when it's flawless...
