Short Lives The tree that I removed today Has lost all of its charm. It was still lovely and so fresh When brought in from the farm. It certainly looked beautiful Decked out in bright baubles And when the colored lights were on, I forgot my troubles. To everything a season and A Yule tree's life is brief, But for that short time it dazzled Beyond a tree's belief. A lifetime is not measured by Number of years one lives But rather by the gifts of love A short or long life gives. By Joyce 01/03/04 |

Sometimes I feel the sigh of the Christmas trees when I see them all aligned out of their habitat, destined to glitter and then to die. Touching write and yes the intensity of an existence can make up for its shortness. Inspiring. Love, Margherita |

A perfectly dazzling post!!! However short lived, it was a beautiful sight to behold. Joyce, it's so good to read you here. Thank you for this~ |
