“CLOSE ENOUGH TO TOUCH”
~~~~
I can only sit here and gaze in
wonderment as my fingers
type upon these keys,
and as I watch the words flow
out from deep within onto this screen
to form a poem of my
thoughts, you become close
enough to touch this night even
from behind the moon…
beautiful!
turning mirrors upside down won't make dust fall off the ground, hiding wounds won't ease the pain, sleep won't make you whole again...
First, Bill, I have missed your words.  So glad you to see you in this new year.
Second, the poem, is lovely.  Isn't it amazing what (and who) we find when we form our thoughts into words upon the page?  Sometimes we answer questions we never knew we had, and sometimes we realize that which we longed for, we had near to us all the time.
I love this one, Bill.  And hope to be reading much more of you this year.
One word that seems to be choice around here is "beautiful" and that it was. How creative we all are to think of the same word. lol Never the less wonderful write.
