Lock up the guns; hide all the drugs; ignore what I say; maybe just for today stay out of my way for I mean you no harm;, you've seen this before the days I can't share when memories and loss tear at my soul, when I can't think to be fair with the rage loose inside me; it reaches the core; leave if you're frightened; I won't lock the door. ©2004 by icebox |

That door has to swing both ways, as do emotions... as does the acceptance of letting one in, and letting one out... Well done, Sir |

Why? Because you're dead honest and don't varnish a thing. I like that. ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸ ¸¸ºº> ~~~(¸¸ER¸¸ºº> |

Leave the door open, maybe we'll go out together, and leave the memories to tear at their own throats. Nan (Pilgrim variety) |

Sometimes we just have to be alone which wouldn't be a problem if those who love us could understand. It's always good to keep the door open! |

My brother used to live in such a state--he was a hermit because of this--but I do recall laughing at his exasperation when people still sought him out, showing up at his door, uninvited. "I don't get it," he'd say, scratching his head. "It's not like I'm pleasant to be around..." Then he just shrugged and smiled, saying, "and they call me crazy!" We understand each other too well lovie. A belated Morgana Salute to you my friend. |

great writing! turning mirrors upside down won't make dust fall off the ground, hiding wounds won't ease the pain, sleep won't make you whole again... |

Salutations! What a very desolate sounding piece. I read it to my husband. Then again. Could it be someone who is suffering Alzheimers? Someone with another terminal illness? Could it be someone who has lost another so very dear to them? Desolate, none-the-less. Fantastic emotion-coaster. McLean |
