Ad Infinitum Tripped on a thought, fell headlong into the morbidity of age, the death of youth, loss of omnipotence. Backwards walking, stumbling over dreams, decomposing rotted carcasses of unsustained ambition, star-crossed misaligned ideas, baseline truths scattered like so many motes of dust in the reality of living – Living – that process of smacking the alarm clock every morning, doing what you don’t want to do all day, going home, locking yourself up for the night, praying the sanctity of your home remains unbroken, then doing it all over again, tomorrow, the day after, and the next – ad infinitum. w.james beard, jr. (c) january 1, 2004 ...so sorry, was just that I had the title words running around in my head and since I couldn't put anything else with it...well, morbid is always easy! j. |

Hi Jimmy! Yanno...some days I look at life and feel this way too. It's good to know I'm not alone. Happy New Year to you and yours. ~Smiles & Hugs, Nancy~ In the midst of winter.. |

I see the captivity in the room The captivity in your mind is something else. Everyone, if they can get the access, can have control of their life. Dave |

Happy New Year Jim... Grin... I guess everybody is into transformations tonight. Easy to feel like that I think... limitations are a bummer, but they make for some creative poetry. Thank you for that. TD |

Yes, James...personally, I realized a long time ago that I needed to act my age, but mentally know and keep the vision of a person in their 20's.... some days, it's the only reason I want to go on. Because there's still hope for a good future. And I figure what wisdom I've gained, needs to be shared, right? If nothing else, I do provide for some good reasons to give everyone a laugh! Have a GREAT day, Jimmy! |
