Do You Still Know Me? Lifted from my mind, souvenirs of time when words trickled in fertile flow A time long ago When wisdoms would sing breezy Verses of Spring, Unobstructed by unacceptance ‘Twas a time, I know Whence, By the same silken silver string. Under a single stream, one marvelous moon beam, We shared moments as adventures unafraid to be traced, looped and laced for all to see When by my words, you had known me. Now years have passed, we’ve grown apart Our songs never sung quite as free I ask this question in my heart By my words, do you still know me? What I like about this, is that it not only pays credence to where we get our start in literary appreciation, but lets the reader think "Yes, I have a book, that gave me just these feelings!" Then the reader is off on a scavenger hunt to find THAT book that turned their world around. For me? Heh. It's Rod! |

we are often reminded... sometimes sadly..of the words or writers who first may have sparked something inside us.. and maybe sometimes wonder as well if the words we shared at some point or time actually are remembered... and if the person knows us still, through what we said or wrote.. nicely done... |

During the holidays, I thought of several people who have come and gone in my life, ......it does make you wonder. You wrote the feeling so well Patricia. A thoughtful poem indeed~ *enjoyed* |

There is always a time for doubting ... a moment's melancholy. But your words, dear Patricia, hold still magic .... no doubt here. Love, Margherita |

"Unobstructed by unacceptance" I loved that phrase especially; really loved the whole poem. Great and warm read, inspiring. |
