In My Words

In my words across the page
I try to explain how I feel
The sadness and the happiness are there
Keeping it all real

There are moments when I write furiously
Times where I don't know what to say
Still though my pen keeps moving
To the beat of the music that guides me along the way

In my words I convey my life experiences
I hope that it touches someone inside
For it's upon the pages of blue
Is the one place I never hide--

I may never be famous
In fact I may never publish a single thing
It's in my words though
That my heart is allowed to sing
