Even as the swirl of some heaven sent song trips the room
In variegations of the heart sounds we have shared
I recognize the familiar in your eyes
When thrill unfurled its comedy and bumped against reprise

Off guard, and I laughed so hard to myself..
Me…an impish elf
And you, all business…playing parts and chess among such cosmic capers
Remembering skirt chasers…and holding back my red cheeks

Something you would do, leave me speechless, testing truth
Showing up to hold me close, disguised in what I want the most
A wonderment itself…and I could fall, without a care at all

But my love…there is only you
A craving that I can’t work through
Not without you here, another couldn’t come this near
Not even in the masks of want…if it means a chaste forever

Never will my heart give up the notion,
Or the spell you do so well, that picked me from the garden wall
And brought me loves sweet waterfall
The step beside you means more to me than anything at all
