I took up Larry's challenge and will write them all


Flattery versus Praise, - challenge 1

I hate it when they flatter me and don’t mean what they say
I'd rather see they shut their mouth and let me go my way
I make mistakes and goodness grief, I'm glad I do you know
That means that I am still alive and that my mind will grow
To say "I'm sorry" is no sinn, I've said it many times
If I was wrong then they should know, I write them little rhymes
But I don't say what I don't mean, no flattery words from me
When I say "Nice", when it is not, I'd kill the thruth you see
I love it though when you praise me for something I have done
My self esteem will raise a bit and sure that will be fun
But when the praise will be my goal, then there is something wrong
Then I won't act with heart and soul, but that's a different song
When you hear "Good" then look into the eyes of who spoke free
And you will know at once my dear, it's praise or flattery
