A sleepless malice fills the night awaiting on this day of blight' where darkness covers all the earth and men of God will show their worth. To stand and fight against all odds by casting down the other Gods; to fight and evil overcome rebuild the light - from darkness won. To take back pride and march with song defeat in battle, night and wrong till victory’s host will cry anew. "We take back night. We do! We do!" Yet malice festers unaware in everyplace there is no care and grows within the dark of gloom, to shore up all the cracks of doom and fill the purest soul with hate. To whisper soft, "too late too late!" And lead proud grieving to despair, take life into the dragon’s lair. Deep within this empty space the darkness grows and bleeds apace, the dark is taut and screams are found and fate is caught with malice round but men of old will hold the key, in faith made bold and victory and then the dark does disappear, of malice, we shall hold no fear Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind. But men of old will hold the key In faith made bold and victory And then the dark will disappear Of malice, we will hold no fear ~*~ I was very grateful to see the last stanza... you had me fearing that there was nothing to look forward to. An excellent write, Kethry. Keep in touch...ok? |

This has an optimistic ending an after the dealings in southern Asia, I think we need this..just wanted to suggest something other than will in the last line since it is used in two other lines of the same stanza but the meaning would change...just a thought..Season's greeting to you and yours |

Sunshine, thank you I'm around and thriving but not writing much. *HuGS garysgirl, thank you for your encouragement Titia, thank you I thought perhaps I'd better post something (even a mediocre something) to let everyone know I was still around. Love you lady. Midnitesun, Thank you. How could my chalice not be overflowing when I've just returned from see the Return of the king and I am replete with contentment. wordwizard, thabnk you for your advice I have taken it, as you can see I've alwatys had too much will and not enough wit. lol. --()--((@)) Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.
