There comes a time at midnight, on Christmas Eve After the tinsel is hung, and the cookies are out When love is left in the air, when we believe In things spiritual, and what Christmas is all about. Hear the midnight bells toll and ring in the song Then watch as the candles shine in the night This is the time, when in God’s heart we belong Allowing His presence, letting in His pure light. The stories go that on this night we were gifted By the love of one God, a babe came to earth Then from the shadows, we were lifted As o’er a manger, a star led men to this birth. They knelt there in the shadows, for they knew That great things were to come to be And the animals came to talk, it is true For miracles beget such mystery. Let this Christmas be one that lives in your heart Let Peace once more give us a new start.  |
