Into Oblivion

Lay the demons down to rest,
Feel the warmth of my last breath.
I want to escape, I need to disappear,
Searching for answers but I keep on guessing.
I did some right, I did some wrong,
I regret these things but I got to move on.

Sailing away as the bell tolls midnight,
Towards a fantasy escaping reality.
Nobody around just stars and a blue moon,
No one can hear me, not even if I shout.
I concentrate my mind because it might just break,
Crack down fast, in two halves.

Inner thoughts over flow like the sea,
Dreams of an everlasting Elysium.
Where the valleys are green and the air is clean.
I slowly begin to float in my mind on a river of joy,
A deep sleep in a world of perfect harmony.

At the break of dawn,
Clouds disappear and the sunshine rises.
Over the horizon, images of illusion emerge,
Where crystal diamonds form the sands of the desert,
With gold soil and silver hills.

I’m on a magical joyride feeling so free,
Taking a deep dive, I let my emotions go.
Life comes and goes as each leaf falls to the floor.
I’ll touch my soul when I finally realize,
Respect and understanding is the key.

This is my mission,
A marvel quest to release my fears.
Where I can have my own personality,
Not the personality of society.
Where I can stream through miles of white sand,
Where I can be alone with no evil in my heart.
A world where fire melts into snow,
A peaceful surrender, surrender into oblivion.
