He came in low, White in a group of grays And browns, Trumpet whistling, clear Between crude honking, Travelers, from afar Landing near. * Set wings, amend Drop, glide-fall, refrain Before they land they call But the soy-field returns No sight of danger, And from corduroy skies Pours, (mixed with pepper) One...salt...grain. * Webs bending stubble, Zeus With spread-wings, scolds; Close behind his quarry. But Leda ignores him, Keeps plucking at the beans. * She feels the heat Of swan-fowl eyes Behind, And tries hard to abate But is frail, And cannot escape The false-Gods planned- Intention, Or his weight. * He mounts, And the earth becomes a mold That casts the likeness Of goose-breast in its mud. But the unions goal Is set by nature to fail, And her eggs remain Barren, Fallow in their portal, Unblemished by Pollux Or Castor or Helen: Because laws set by nature On mortals, this era, Prevail. |

WHAT is this doing 300 poems down with only two replies?? Buried by the holiday rush, I'm thinking. Today's the day to bump poems with multiple dimensions! ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸ ¸¸ºº> ~~~(¸¸ER¸¸ºº> |

Ratleader Maybe it did get "buried in the rush", I don't know, I guess some things just get passed by, or perhaps there is not much intrest in myth and multiple dimensions? Thank you for bumping me up, maybe it will be read a couple more times, but I will be happy with the three replies, if that is all that comes... Thank you for reading, and the comments... _______ice ><> |
