Gaveling judges take a break to converse With trees in a whisper no time to rehearse, If only an allegory could swear on its oath, Would justice evolve enrobed in them both? (them is judges and trees, don't think me a fool cause allegories ain’t reality, they done flunked out of school) With suspense of Mike Hammer, The end-zone the slammer A telephone rang and the caller hung on, Not wanting to realize the lady was gone. Now when I was a child, Backyards allowed playing, though trees never smiled. And crickets were bad-asses, place your hand on your heart, As judges start gaveling, sine qua non- truth's depart.
