where the wild flowers grow

0 posted 2003-12-19 08:28 AM

Evening has drawn it's self portrait
upon the sky.
I couldn't recognize
your hair
reflecting the pale moonlight..

I hear
your words
backwards.

Tonight I
tied the laces
tighter
than usual..
But circulation
is not neccesary
when
the earth is frozen and
in mid-shiver.

I hear it's teeth chatter.
I hear your voice, still..the words
that
should've never been spoken..
We will never forget
how close we've gotten
to the edge of the world..the end.

I run my fingers
through thick strands,
trace them along
the braids of time,
and I wonder
is this you?

You, who dries the tears I cried
years ago..
Dressing up the memories I long to forget..
In better
chilled winds I halt my step..

Your footprints no longer follow me,
so shall I weep?

I hear
your words
backwards...

Meghan, the first impression I got

I hear
your words
backwards

and the bit about tying the laces tight,
gave me the image of iceskaters...

a very pleasing visual.

Merry Christmas!

No, you should not or never weep, but rejoice for knowing and being able to resound on the voice of this love...for in this awareness you were and are still and forever be blessed, changing your life forever for the good.  This was something very sacred that only you knew, and perhaps not even him...but it became you...in many ways...and shines a new concept in your heart, a new knowlege forever complimenting you to a different plain in life...walk forward in great awareness of this endowment upon your soul.

Wonderfully written...and a great sculpture of what will be from now and forever more.  I very much enjoyed.  Thank you for writing and sharing.

beautiful, sad, just beautiful and sad

joy has its own justice. and dreams are languid and lawless. and everything bows to beauty, when it's fierce and when it's flawless...
