THINKING OF ME Fondly I stare into the lakes reflection And reflect on that image of me. I see........perfection blessed by Aphrodite's kiss And I smile, causing the waters to ripple; I want to sing to myself of eternal love and jealous Angels But my reflections voice is silent. I wonder if Narcissus had this moment, Quietly admiring the beauty of his soul Before being transformed into a flower As a reminder that vanity should be left to the Gods. Marcel |
