I'm mindful of my manners,
And try never to offend,
But my big foot, has a mind of its own,
And goes straight for my mouth ~ and in!

I endeavor to be quite cordial,
And consider how others might feel,
But whenever I speak, before I think,
It becomes a great big deal!

I follow the rules of etiquette,
The do's and the don'ts of class,
The proper spoon and fork to use,
And which goblet, cup or glass!

For reasons which, I can't explain,
My mind goes blank at times,
I'll drink my Perrier, from a plastic cup,
And use the wrong glass for wines!

I lack in social graces,
No matter how hard I try,
But with a smile upon, my blushing face,
I manage to still get by!
