Autumn has left me again to a frozen winter where once
I remembered being beautiful, full of life
my soul now empty, left battling courage to take a stand and leave you.

How will the next apple look from the falling tree?
Purple, yellow, green; my heart-aches knowing how once loved filled my chambers

I wonder if springs rebirth this year will erase all color
Will my eyes again mask the truth?

Christmas touch your
life with special blessing

So sadly sweet Greeneyes,
and so obviously heart-felt.
I hope you find a spring of rebirth.

When we do what's right, the colors return to what they should be. Better gray that's right and true, than a whole spectrum of falsehood.

I know what you mean, I wonder too,  where and when the apple will fall, but fall they do, like we have a say??   You always write such choice words that warm up even the coldest days.

Love to you,  Lady Lauren~

Lauren, it sounds as though you may have a difficult winter ahead of you, but please hold on to the thought that with the Spring comes the sun and new growth! ~ the beginning of a new chapter in your life's book!

Spring is so easy in the north
at least for making promises
even for oneself.
And then the green and the warmth arrive
and we are assuaged
and forget the cold . . .

I tried to find the words yesterday
to respond to this...
still can't find 'em,
and it's my third time here.

I love apples, so it matters not the color, or even if they fall from the tree.
A sad but beautiful write, dear poet.
