Her spirits are down, I feel it deep within my own soul The pain she has endured though, has left her feeling less than whole Tears stinging her face, as she confides in me We are the best of friends, able to set each other free If she feels an once of the pain I feel inside It's no wonder she just wants to run away and hide My heart breaks, silently, without making a sound The earth is shaking beneath us, as we both search for more stable ground Her quiet comfort helps me, even when no words are said It helps to ease the pain, to clear my head Some wounds just won't heal, but it's nice to know someone understands When she needs a friend, I'll be here with an outstretched hand Rain and fire has drenched us both, how is it someone understands me? Maybe it's I've finally found a true friend, and myself in her I see I have someone I love, but still it's nice to have that person who just knows As I smile with pride and watch our friendship grow "love is like a butterfly-- if you chase it, it will surely fly away,instead hold it close and watch it grow into something beautiful" ~me~ [This message has been edited by Aimster (12-14-2003 04:43 PM).] |

Well I am Sharon too, and having been in the dumps myself I kind of claimed this too  What a lovely piece for your friend and I do hope you share it with her, as it made me more cheerful myself having just read it. Happy Holidays. |
