Do you ever think of me,
times and passions spent?
I was surprised by my survival.
If I could ask you now,
misunderstanding's rage
would run rampant.

I watched your shoulders shake;
was it cold or passion's grief?
I fought for money in the end
and never said I saw the lie.
I had to die so you would live;
you would have died for your belief.

I watched you, then, not knowing
mourning at an empty grave;
I couldn't see your face
from a thousand yards away.
I left you all the innocence I could;
your's was the only life I saved.

icey . . .
this really grabbed a hold of me
this morning . . .

this:

misunderstanding's rage
would run rampant.

Ohh yes, I know I do truly
and well, I guess this brought me
back to a painful time
where everything you have written
seems as if you tapped into my own mind
truly, you have
and I sit here, in awe
as usual
wondering how this is:

I had to die so you would live;
you would have died for your belief.

ahhh . . . I do know truly I do
*smile for you*
(for me too)

Your titles are so attention-grabbing! --and they deliver.

BTW May I comment on how dapper I think you look in your new photo! I must admit that I am quite curious as to what function you may have been attending!

Have a glorious autumn, Dear Box of Ice!

Loves 'n hugs,
EA

Icy~

As always another masterpiece.

EA's curiousity is not alone...

I decided a while back that you are not who you pretend to be...lol..I decided you are really a very well known person incongnito...

I don't care...I just love the way that mind works...

"I left you all the innocence I could;

You write with such emotive power, but I'm not sure whether a smile or cry fills the ache your poetry brings, maybe both.

You will laugh when I tell you where this took me - inside the mind of leaves!  Yes, the leaves on fall trees!  I figured they saved the tree. I read it again after I got that into my silly head, as it all made even more sense - you think I need serious help?   In any event I absolutely loved it!
