This may not make sense but the still light means under the street light. I used to sit with my Gram outside every night with her. It was the only light outside there. I took care of my Gram for 4 years but I was never a day away from her even growing up. Some may not understand this but she would. Still Light I've gone a mile back on the grounds of precious To where you were everything I was living for The sun kissed me with memories like we were there again And, Oh, that moon held me with even more... Here's to that still light over us that glow was possessing Straight to the time Jesus set me up with a blessing My heart found us on the side of that old city street In the dark where that light post and pure love meet... We'd wait for the dusk and reward of that still light So much honesty in content long into the night There bound by each other and on a swing held by chains Embraced by the notion there's nothing I'd ever change... I hear sundown still echoing your laughter there And, your sweet innocence still graces my air The only time I sigh these days to where that light stands Is, when in passing, I remember holding your hands... It's still light of that kind I search for at heart My only connection between you and I while apart Time never did change the shade of that still light above For, I'm everything now, that then, your heart was made of... Understand, that I fell into what once was tonight I wonder if you see me lingering under our light I still hold onto to you each night when I sleep Believing, I'm right where that light post and love meet... Oh, there is just one thing that you did not do The day you left you forgot to take me with you...  (big hugggssssssss) Oh Saunni, this is so very heartfelt, sweet friend, I'm sorry to hear of your loss but know she is always guiding you with love and He has a plan and when the time is right you will meet up with her again and forever be reunited! This makes me miss the times I would spend the night with my gramma, and I would lay next to her, and fall asleep. She was the one I knew loved me on my mama's side of the family. She was a woman ahead of her time, too. What a lovely write. Thanks for bringing back the memories even if I cried, and want her back.
