Deepest of Feelings

A moment has passed, though seems more like an eternity
From out of her thoughts she comes, realising what she has to do to be free
The confusion had threatened to consume her, but she deserves more
She realises in that instant, she must begin to open the next door

Stepping out into light, after being in the dark for so long
She looks around to finally realise she is "home"
Home...what a sweet name, it's where her heart and soul will stay
While the rest of her pain and heartache, will fly far away

She never allowed someone to truly love her, though you'd never guess at first glance
Always the one giving others a second, third, fourth, then final chance
Holding it all inside, the pain that she has felt since being a small girl
She realises now it doesn't have to be anymore, it is no longer a part of her world

She tosses it to the sea, let the angry ocean waves disolve her pain at last
Looking towards her future now, she feels her heart smiling, moving farther from the past
The ocean churning with the water, it carries her secret to another land
For today when she let it all go, there she found her love, with an outstreched hand

Her "sea" now seems calmer, the waves just rolling with the tide
No longer from herself will she run, there's no more reasons to hide
Then though in a distant, she sees a dark and stormy cloud with rain
That is where it went, all her confusion and all the pain

If she truly keeps her heart free though, and lets the one she loves in her heart
Together they will be able to make that beautiful start
Hopefully she chooses the right path, because I can't watch her hurt any longer
I pray she continues to fight, and in the end comes out of it stronger
