There should be pools of blood here, In this place I’ve suffered in, Where walls collect screams of fear Silently smeared layers deep. There should be pools of tears shed On this grim spot where I’ve been, Pools to mingle with the bled Fluids from my body seep. But all that’s here are dark pools Depression, despair, and dim Where emotion can not cool Where lost ability to weep. Even the pools of dark goes Fleeing as the sun shine in Taking away my shadows Allowing the day to reap. There should be pools of my gloom So I go leaving nothing But light in an empty room That takes all day long to creep Gloom |

Fitting right up to your name, Sir and snugging it in tight, less we ever fear that you would veer from writing what you know... although I wish I could... |

If Only... It is in the loss, words that grip, squeeze the breath from the living stopping time, none for the tears and pain, just the etchings of memories when... childhood crying out wanting to go back to spirit the past and souvenir every moment, even those of reprimand if only... What is there to hold onto, but each other those dark pools wanting to sorrow, to drown the journey to imprison the gloom within. Words cannot describe, can only mingle in a time of crisis, when somber and dark in hue are our thoughts and melancholy becomes us... M |

Oh Gloomy!! This was ever so good! And you're right there should be something left behind to show our suffer... Susan |
