if only one unique voice
captures my heart for that moment in time
and allows me to breathe deeper than before
then I will be thankful to have been touched so
by words and more

if only one unique voice
centers upon my whole and allows me to carry my days
with less of a burden, allows me to play the stage
then I will be happier to have known those thoughts
whatever their age

if only one unique voice
is to be dressed in satins and leather and lace
to be placed in my album of memories, all that I hear, all that I see
those that bring smiles in the morning and quiet
to my nights blending them into "enough"
that's enough ... for me.

See what you inspired? and that takes alot..from a "tired" me.

thank you Eric...I had read Ev2's poem about poetry and thought to answer him this way...using many beautiful phrases from his own...

I hope he doesn't mind...

Hello nakdthoughts. Now what can I say to that? Oh my...I am blushing so deeply at the moment. Thank-you very much dear friend. I have never been so honored before in my life. To know that something I wrote inspired this response...wow! I can't believe you wrote this for me! It is simply amazing. I really like it a lot!
