The devil
Walks in every forest.
He points an angry finger at God,
And he waits.

Everywhere
Is the little band of disciples
Cloven from the devil's side.
And they watch.

Here...take my hand.
We'll wait beneath the pines
In luxurious grass of wonder
Seeking him.

Here...let me
Pile the fallen needles at your back.
In every forest walks
A devil.

Devils... If I remember correctly. Satan was but a fallen angel of God, who challenged him, with questions and was cast out of heaven...

perhaps questions are the work of the devil, for without them, we might all well be better off...

I know a question lurks behind every tree..and in this forest, many a question is asked...
