Toes sink deep into the sand As our fingers interlace I stand here facing you My eyes drawn towards your face I lift my index finger As I trace around your lips Your hands move to my shoulders Before they settle on my hips You pull my body closer As your lips envelop mine The sun glistens on the water As the seagulls come to dine You take me by the hand As the sun starts sinking low Your love fills my inner being Through my veins I feel it flow Soon the sun will be replaced With a glowing white sphere As you whisper those three words That you know I love to hear Beneath the pale moonlight Love comes into fruition As I surrender to your heart And lose all my inhibitions * * * "....you have bereft me of words, only my blood speaks to you through my veins" I am in motion |

Hi Sue ... I thought of you today as I was out in my gardens cleaning up and cutting down dead plants. I know yours is coming to life while mine goes for a long winter's nap. This poem is so beautiful and filled with such tender love. How much I wish to be walking on this beach! Love to you, Marti “Prayer makes the heart large enough until it can contain God’s gift of Himself.” |
