I've taken the journey of a lifetime, and my heart feels stronger in a way
Still though there are times when I need to
pause and reflect, taking it all day by day
So much emotion has involved, more than I thought
I can say with all honesty, I've really fought

I've been keeping this journal, a journal of my soul and heart
In it, I try to describe the beginning of all this
from whence it got it's first start
Some of the pages are blank, with only drops of tears
Others tell more of all my doubts and fears

I am slowly learning how to let the walls come down, not to guard myself so much
Why is is though then sometimes I run from love's touch?
If I knew then what I know today, I'd have done this all the same
With everything we do, comes a price, and sometimes it's filled with moments of rain

Whethering the storm though I am, as I try to keep my chin up high
From past sorrows I want to be able to say goodbye
For tomorrow is a new day, and it holds within it moments of peace and hope
I see it dangling in front of me, ready to pull me up, that twisted knotted rope

I grab a hold of it and I hold on tight
Tomorrow is a new day, full of love and light
I keep walking along this journey, never knowing what it may bring
Knowing though that the truth will allow my heart to finally "sing"
