How Will I Know? How will I know when the moment has come To relinquish that beautiful dream? You will know when your eyes have not danced in the stars And the stars have not bathed in a stream How will I know when the season has come To give in to the winds of the day? You will know when the waters don’t dance in the sea And your feet have not bathed in its spray How will I know when the soul is too frail To continue to grow and persist? You will know when your feet have not danced in the grass And the grass is not bathed in the mist How will I know that my heart is too worn To let love linger on through the years?
