Please
I get sick from all the sugar you give me.
Just tell me how you really feel
when my words don't add up
to what you wanted me to say.
When pretend is a normal state of mind
how I am I supposed to know who my friends are?
I don't hide what I feel with my words
its all out there
just waiting on my sleeve I suppose
for someone to tear into it
with their common practice of misunderstanding.
I just can't see through this haze
of perfect white icing
that you drizzle over my emotions
to make me think everything that you cover my questions with
will taste wonderful
and perfect
and sweet.
How can I trust something so perfect?
Anyone who is my true friend
can understand that I can dance with reason
and the opposite of reason
at the same time,
but that I always know my way back to the first partner.
I always mean what I say
but don't always mean to say it
in such
a way.
Please
I am gagging from all the sugar.
Just tell me who my real friends are
so I can be hurt
and mend,
or so I can at least feel stupid
for mistrusting.

I LOVE YOU! I LOVE YOU! I LOVE YOU!

WOW! I wish more people had that point of view!

Great write! I am so tired of the tolken call or sugar coated compliments. Why must one keep one hanging on for their own options?

Temptress, I like the way you just put it all out there with this one. I hope whoever is doing you this way will just tell you what they mean and get things all out in the open.
