In Your Poetic Mind

0 posted 2003-11-18 06:48 PM

{Will you remember me when frozen
smoke rises and the air once again dims}

Will you see motion between us;
my years of love to & for you
has never had boundaries?
words between us,  beyond pain and meaning
will we  be inthralled?

I have the taste of your lips next to my eyes --
inside,  my soul longing
to be released -- set free with purpose

Shadows will enter me from all directions
darkness  falls  -- &
midnights  rename my belongings

of how

I am always reminded of orchids and rain,
endless seas & endless loss,
they slide    my skin each winter
soaking petals for life

Silence can be an
       unbreakable world

   in which madness lies --
slipping indifferently to delight,
movement of thoughts            standing motionless
on shores  soft edges of earth

Quietly let the dance
       settle on my shoulders &
again  with the moon, my memories

will bleed

alone

~~**~~

I had a dream last night
you came to me on silver wings of light
I flew away with you in painted sky
Was it real
Is it what you see, touch or feel

I'm searching for the words to explain, how it leaves me, these words you offer...
and my own would not do justice to how your talent is appreciated and your art is greedily eaten by my eyes...

maybe one day I'll be able to answer one of your posts with something more than my jaw on the floor, but don't hold your breath waiting..

The Captain took the words right out of my mouth ~ mind you, he arranged them far better than I could have, Dear Laurena Poetessa!

Warm hugs,
Linda

Lauren, as always your writing is amazing.  I have no clever reply, so will you just accept my admiration and respect?

Hmm...quietly sitting here, soaking in the scent of this, as if surrounded by nightime shadows of orchids.

I don't often use this term... but it's applicable here... brilliant!

your poetry breaks the silence of my stunned muse and for that I am always grateful to be able to read the graceful beauty of your words.

When I'm with you my eyes are so wide ...
you reached right in my head and turned on the light inside
turned on the light in my mind.

Well, I've read it...Swirled it around the glass a bit, and tested it's bouquet.

A reserve vintage to be sure.

I love to read you on days like this...not pushed for time, sun shining through blinds, door open to windchimes...
