                  The World

I have come far in the world,
But still is young.
As I look around me,
I see things I don't want to see.
Things I don't want to feel.
Stuff I don't want to hear.
Hate, suffering, and war are some things,
That have lasted for hundreds of years,
Or just begun a short time.
And here I am,
Among many like me,
Staring at the cruel world,
Not knowing what to do.
Why must we pretend,
That we are not of this world?
We all have our own sufferings.
The past brought us many wars,
And the future will bring us more.
If we don't learn from past,
How can we learn from the future?
We see war every day in the media.
Bombings over land and execution for petty crimes.
Even in our own back yards,
Do we find violence.
Hasn't the people seen enough blood shed?
Or enough hatered?
Have we forgoten that we are all human?
Shouldn't all the Children of Earth equal,
And free in everyway?
Will we ever live to see peace?
