 Your Story Checks Out By: Noah Eaton 11/16/03 She says "I'm sorry about the other night, sometimes I get just a little scared!" That her heart may get broken unexpectedly, then in the end nothin's there You see her heart's been broken before, she's just tryin' to put the past behind She says it's nothin' personal, she just wants an easy way out this time And I say, "It's alright, honey, we can talk this over if you'd like. Let me try and lift some of that load for you, let's get down to the bottom line. I understand how you're feelin', baby, let me shed some light on this shadow of doubt, So let me try and kiss those tears away, now that your story checks out. She says she feels she's held responsible, for everything that was goin' on. She puts all the blame on herself, wonderin' where she went wrong. Well baby there'll be fools, who go for the heart hit and run, and they don't deserve you, you need someone you can really love. And I say, "It's alright, honey, we can talk this over if you'd like. Let me try and lift some of that load for you, let's get down to the bottom line. I understand how you're feelin', baby, let me shed some light on this shadow of doubt, So let me try and kiss those tears away, now that your story checks out. Let's start the presses, and get your whole story published to me Let's let this current affair get somewhere, I'll be everything you need. And I say, "It's alright, honey, we can talk this over if you'd like. Let me try and lift some of that load for you, let's get down to the bottom line.
