At The Knee-Of-Attend ~*Marge Tindal*~ At the knee of Great Grandmothers' tend I learned the ancient ways of our tribe "Patience in all things.", she said, "Everything is done with pride." Each stitch just so placed, each one complete I watched in awe as she tended sweet Learning the need for perfection to protect Great Grandfather's feet~ She never raised her voice as she taught me how to sew To make the necessities of life in gift of loving bestow~ Across the great mountains of Heaven if I listen really quiet I can hear Great Grandfather's footsteps in mocassins-of-my-making this night~ *Dedicated to my Great Grandmother, Annie Wainwright* *With deep appreciation to Marti for the graphic and the inspire* ~*When the heart grieves over what it has lost, |

Marge... You know that I love when you write of your Great Grandmother, and this is no exception. So tenderly touching, this is. Thanks for this Marge. People were so much closer and bonded so much better back then when there wasn't so many distractions, like hundreds of TV stations to sift through without ever being happy with the one chosen because one is afraid they might have missed something on one of the others. We don't see people the same way anymore we just see all kinds of technical machines whirling around in front of our eyes daily and the greater number of us are consumed by them in order to survive. This is very nice Marge! Ain't doin nothin at all |
