With my darkling

On today I knew you would leave
and today I knew I would breath
this day took forever to come
the pain I awaited feels numb

Today feels like everyday
your absence did not make me pray
your leaving left no tracks to find
you left me, but I did not mind

you took it all with you
left nothing behind
you took it all with you
but I did not mind

I really like this...i have needed these words although I wouldn't have meant them...at the time..I would have liked to have said them.

There are only three beings worth of respect; the priest, the solider and the poet; To know, To Kill  and to create.
